This event is known by most of the triathlon clubs as the 1st tri of the season. We strive to make this event fun and enjoyable for the first timers as well as a good warm-up and training event for the experienced triathletes. Field is open to both individuals and relay teams. New triathletes are invited and encouraged to make the Athens-YMCA Triathlon their first event and enjoy the hospitality of East Texas. The past two years we have maxed our registrations. Events are a 300m pool swim with starting position determined by individual swim times, 14 mile bike with a little challenage, 5k run through city park and country side road.
