Saturday, September 29, 2007 - Run or Walk on behalf of others! Samaritans' 5K, "Run for Someone Else's Life," is a USATF certified 5 kilometer race along the Charles River. Based at Artesani Park, runners, joggers, and walkers of all ages are welcome to attend - You can bring the entire family! Over 500 event participants will raise funds for and attract new volunteers to Samaritans, a nonprofit agency dedicated to reducing the risk of suicide, the third leading cause of death for Massachusetts youth and the nation's eleventh leading cause of death for all ages. Prizes and medals will be given to both male and female winners in the following categories: Kids under 12, Ages 13-17, Ages 18-29, Ages 30-39, Ages 40-49, Ages 50-59, Ages 60 ¿ 68, Ages 70+. Medals will be given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each of the above categories.
