Race proceeds help Augustus Ford Foundation to benefit students. All participants are encouraged to bring school supplies such as paper, pencils, etc. Special trophies awarded to Overall Winners in 10k and 5k categories in honor of Augustus Ford who won many trophies during his race career. 10k course is not yet certified but could be USATF certified prior to race date.
