As an International, National and Local fall event, the 26.2 mile distance is one to be appreciated. The course begins in the shadows of our beautiful Sandia Mountains at 5,800 ft. Runners and walkers wind their way down to the bosque trail in Albuquerque's North Valley, as the hot air balloons ascend into the beautiful blue skies and the sun rises over the majestic mountains. The course concludes along a tranquil stretch through our scenic North Valley to finish at 4,800 ft. near historic Old Town Plaza.
