Skagit Flats Marathon is run on rural county roads in the beautiful Skagit Valley about 60 miles north of Seattle. The event starts and finishes at Burlington Edison High School in Burlington Washington. Our event raises money for local cross country, and track programs in Skagit County. We also help out the local Search and Rescue program. Mount Baker looms over Skagit showing it's majestical peaks and year around snow cap. Skagit County is home to many different birds of prey as well as snow geese and trumpeter swans. We host a small marathon, with small town appeal, and all the niceties of a big marathon, water and gel every few miles, and lots of food at the end, even for the 6 hour marathoners. http://www.skagitflatsmarathon.com http://www.active.com/event_detail.cfm?event_id=1548260 Terry L Sentinella tedes12@comcast.net 360-293-6244 P.O.
