The race is located in the scenic Smith River Valley and is nestled between the Big Belt Mountain and Castle Mountain Ranges. The course is a flat, out-and-back. Post-race breakfast and awards ceremony after race. White Sulphur Springs will be hosting all-day family fun activities including dog show(mutts encouraged), rancher rodeo, parade, golf tournement, Bar-B-Que Dinner, and County fireworks display. Come, Stay and Play. There are numerous hotels and campgrounds, and the valley and mountain ranges provide great hiking, fishing, and boating activities. The town boasts the only Castle in Montana and it is open for tours. The charity run and Bar-B-Que dinner proceeds are to benefit the Meagher (pronounced Mar) County Library. The library is the only one serving the entire County and is heavily used. It is located in a partially condemned builing. The local community is rallying to remedy this situation.
