Runner's World Shoe Lab Test Results

WE SAY: Our Shoe Lab tests showed that the updated Glycerin 5 is a bit softer than the 4, thanks to both Brooks's new MoGo midsole foam and a larger cutaway section under the heel. (The heel essentially "sinks" into this open space in the midsole, which enhances cushioning.) Brooks also repositioned the upper overlays onto a more open mesh for better breathability and a roomier forefoot fit. We recommend this shoe for bigger runners with high arches looking for a neutral-cushioned shoe with a nice roomy fit.

I agree with most of the people rating this shoe, it is very comfortable. My only disappointment was the tread not holding up. I am a big guy and supinate very badly, but I only got 100 miles out of this shoe before the inside edge was worn down so much that it hurt my leg to continue walking in it. I did buy another pair to see if they hold up any better..

This is the first shoe I have found whhich is the perfect fit for me. I love the cushioning . Did take some time to get use to it being so light. A great shoe . The only rwason not 5 stars is I dont know about the mileage it will takjes since I have only had them a week. Former Asics runner.

The shoe is a good lightweight neutral trainer. I have had the shoe for 2 weeks now, and I think it has the perfect amount of cushion while still promoting speed. I highly recommend it. .
