This new shoe should look pretty familiar. Brooks removed the internal support post from its well-liked Adrenaline GTS 7 and replaced the previous version's stiff insole board with a layer of soft foam. The result of these changes is the Defyance, a shoe that's soft, flexible, and hugs the foot like a tight pair of jeans. Our testers raved about the shoe's comfort, and our lab tests confirmed that the Defyance is substantially softer than the GTS 7. We recommend the shoe for light- to average-weight runners with high arches who don't overpronate.

Tried this shoe during the 90 day trial, normally wear Nike Pegasus. Loved the fit and weight of the shoe but after 110 miles all the cushioning felt like it was gone..

This shoe fits like my favourite jeans! What a perfect shoe. I have runned on the brooks glycering and radius but this is my all time favourite. .

I am a Brooks fan, have run in Adrenaline, Glycerin, and now Infinit, after the Defyance let me down. It cause more achilles stretch and pain than any other shoe. I would only recommend for the lightweight who need a cushioned shoe..
